‘Interpol systems being abused by govts across world’

Failing to make a payment on a loan can now put you on Interpol’s wanted list. Two people with British residency have found out the hard way, after accidentally defaulting on a financial agreement while working in the Gulf. Basically, an unpaid check was enough for the Arab state they were working in to get the global police agency on the case. The NGO Fair Trials International has written to the force’s Secretary General about the issue.
