  • Stakeholders and Sustainability

Freeman consciously introduced and articulated the basis for a theory that competes head-on with the commonly accepted stockholder theory of the firm. The choice of the word “stakeholder” was intentional. He asserted:

Words make a difference in how we see the world. By using “stakeholder,” managers and theorists alike will come to see these groups as having a “stake.” “Stakeholder” connotes “legitimacy,” and while managers may not think that certain groups are “legitimate” in the sense that their demands on the firm are inappropriate, they had better give “legitimacy” to these groups in terms of their ability to affect the direction of the firm.104A.

A Global Unity Colony

  • Blood Meridian’s Judge Holden in the Age of American Exceptionalis

ICormac McCarthy’s novel Blood Meridian (1985) is the story, loosely based on historical incidents, of a gang of scalp hunters who massacred Native Americans (among others) in the United States – Mexico borderlands from 1849 to 1850 for bounty, pleasure, and eventually out of sheer compulsion. Although the gang is led by a former Texas Ranger named Glanton, the figure of Judge Holden dominates the narrative. The Judge, a physically huge and intellectual man depicted as entirely bald, is especially disturbing in this novel of horrific violence, due to the apparent gratuitousness of his murderous actions and his uncanny ability to use philosophical argument to manipulate those around him for ends that remain unclear.   Thus, in the age of American Exceptionalism we must acknowledge the pertinence of Judge Holden’s conclusion that “war is the truest form of divination. It is the testing of one’s will and the will of another within that larger will which because it binds them is therefore forced to select. War is the ultimate game because war is at last a forcing of the unity of existence. War is god.”.

  • Globalism: the monster in the Presidential campaign

“Over the weekend, thousands of protesters across multiple countries condemned impending [Globalist] trade deals promoted by governments and their corporate partners. Though the protests received little coverage from mainstream media, they stretched from Paris to Warsaw.” (Carey Wedler, Blacklisted News, 10/19/16)

Start with this: when a system has been devised, planned, launched, and maintained by criminals to undermine a nation, they are naturally going to defend it by saying: “It’s good for everyone AND THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO MANAGE HUMAN AFFAIRS. BESIDES, WE CAN’T STOP IT NOW. THAT WOULD CAUSE WIDESPREAD CHAOS.”

In exactly the same way, a massive prison housing nothing but innocent people would be hard to maintain, if the airtight security system were turned off.

The truth about the Globalist prison is simple. The underlying operation takes jobs away from America, in this instance, and sends them to Third World hell holes, where the same products are manufactured by the same companies, for pennies, using slave workers who labor in toxic environmental conditions that destroy their health.

    Isn’t that easy to understand?

  • All Together Now

Obama and Clinton’s choreographed love fest in Unity, N.H., went off without a glitch.

NThe transfer of power from the Bill and Hillary past to the Barack Obama future was handled as well as these rituals ever are in politics. New Hampshire, as it almost always does during the presidential season, provided the prime scenic backdrop at an outdoor rally Friday afternoon here in — that’s right — Unity.

  • Clinton’s Transition Team: A Corporate Presidency Foretold

Like other Bernie Sanders delegates in Philadelphia a few weeks ago, I kept hearing about the crucial need to close ranks behind Hillary Clinton. “Unity” was the watchword. But Clinton has reaffirmed her unity with corporate America.

Rhetoric aside, Clinton is showing her solidarity with the nemesis of the Sanders campaign — Wall Street. The trend continued last week with the announcement that Clinton has tapped former senator and Interior secretary Ken Salazar to chair her transition team.

After many months of asserting that her support for the “gold standard” Trans-Pacific Partnership was a thing of the past — and after declaring that she wants restrictions on fracking so stringent that it could scarcely continue — Clinton has now selected a vehement advocate for the TPP and for fracking, to coordinate the process of staffing the top of her administration.

But wait, there’s more — much more than Salazar’s record — to tell us where the planning for the Hillary Clinton presidency is headed.

On the surface, it might seem like mere inside baseball to read about the transition team’s four co-chairs, described by Politico as “veteran Clinton aides Maggie Williams and Neera Tanden” along with “former National Security Adviser Tom Donilon and former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm.” But the leaders of the transition team — including Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, who is also president of the Clinton-Kaine Transition Project — will wield enormous power.

“The transition team is one of the absolute most important things in the world for a new administration,” says William K. Black, who has held key positions at several major regulatory agencies such as the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. Along with “deciding what are we actually going to make our policy priorities,” the transition team will handle key questions: “Who will the top people be? Who are we going to vet, to hold all of the cabinet positions, and many non-cabinet positions, as well? The whole staffing of the senior leadership of the White House.”

Black’s assessment of Salazar, Podesta and the transition team’s four co-chairs is withering. “These aren’t just DNC regulars, Democratic National Committee regulars,” he said in an interview with The Real News Network. “What you’re seeing is complete domination by what used to be the Democratic Leadership Council.

The Deception In ONE

  • UNITY in Solidarity with Standing Rock

Statement for Oceti Sakowin from Generation Indigenous youth across America

We, the undersigned youth from UNITY’s (United National Indian Tribal Youth) 2016 class of “25 Under 25” Leaders program support our Indigenous brothers and sisters, as well as all beings on earth. We stand in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in their efforts to rise up and band together against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline through the land which the Missouri and Cannonball River flow and under the Mississippi.

We agree that Water Is Life.  Mni Wiconi.

Indigenous youth know there is no greater priority or richer resource to protect than the health of our only home, Mother Earth.

Indigenous youth know that short term individual, national, corporate financial or other gains from fossil fuel extraction must not negatively jeopardize the natural wealth we all depend on, share, and benefit from now and for future generations.

Indigenous youth understand that we are facing a Climate Change future in which human actions of the past and present have negatively impacted our earthly home.

Indigenous youth, along with our Elders, understand that tribal sovereignty and territorial rights reside alongside our sovereign rights given to us by Creator to determine our future and protect our lands, peoples, and future generations.
We, Indigenous youth leaders, thereby stand in solidarity with Oceti Sakowin and their efforts to immediately halt the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. We understand we set the future by our actions today.

We demand that the Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Department of Interior rescind the Army Corps of Engineers Permit for the Dakota Access Pipeline. We ask for a full Environmental Impact Statement of this project which violates the 1851 and 1868 Treaties which mandate the protection of the health of Native communities and the natural resources of our Nations and ancestral homelands.
