Amazon fights back

Via 9news.com:
Amazon is cutting off affiliates that help it sell products in Colorado because of a new way taxes are being collected on online sales.

Amazon told affiliates in an e-mail on Monday it would no longer pay them advertising fees because of the new law.
[...]
Amazon says the law is cumbersome and no other state has similar rules.
“Amazon came here and they met with the very people that passed this bill, and they said, ‘if you want to do something constitutional, we’re here with you, but you’re not, so we’re going to be forced, unfortunately to have to end our relationship,’” Rep. Amy Stephens (R-Monument) said.
A little blowback for Colorado and an excellent reason to use Amazon for your next purchase.

Benefits of recession

Recessions don’t have to bring all bad news. Here are some VERY positive developments:

Iceland votes NO on bank scam, government moves forward anyway

Robert Wenzel reports:
Unfortunately, for Icelanders, this is not the end of the story. The Iceland government, in a desperate attempt to gain approval of the global elite, are busily attempting to negotiate a new plan that will force Icelanders to cough up the bucks to pay to the U.K.
If the tax-payers don’t approve, do it anyway.

35 years for 4.6 ounces of Marijuana

Via dfwnorml.org:
He was caught by law enforcement within 1000 feet of Ebenezer Day Care Center in Tyler with baggies of weed in his pockets toking on a joint. On Thursday, March 4th, Henry received 35 years in a state correctional facility.
Both the arresting pig and Smith County Assistant District Attorney Richard Vance are the ones that need to be behind bars for 35 years. Sick bastards.

Timing of Pentagon shooting

Kurt Nimmo via The Tonka Report:
The shooting outside the Pentagon yesterday occurred as the Supreme Court considers McDonald v. Chicago, a lawsuit challenging the city’s handgun ban.
Additionally, as with most false flag operations these days, D.C. Metro police staged a drill to prepare for this exact event just last week.
Side note: a lewrockwell.com reader notices how people are shot in D.C. on a regular basis and the crimes are basically ignored. It is only when the victims are wearing state-issued costumes is it an issue.

Jim Bunning doing what is right

William L. Anderson reports:
First, Bunning said forthrightly that not only was he not against extension of benefits, but that he also was following President Barack Obama’s dictum that we “pay as we go,” and that there had been no budget allocation for this $10 billion expenditure. While Krugman and the Democrats (and most of the media) were declaring, “It’s only $10 billion,” Bunning replied that if Democrats could not even demonstrate some fiscal discipline in a relatively small amount of money, then they were incapable of dealing with the larger budget issues that threaten to swamp our entire country in a sea of unpayable debt.
Bunning is a hypocrite, yes. But at least he grew some balls on this one.
Update: Pat Buchanan has a good piece on Bunning as well.
