Internet activist Barrett Brown hit with gag-order before trial

Internet activist Barrett Brown has received a media gag order this week that will remain in place until his trial next year involving, among other items, his alleged role within “hacktivist” group Anonymous. Brown has been in federal custody for about a year, and faces up to 100 years in prison if he is found guilty of various forms of fraud. RT’s Meghan Lopez talks to Peter Ludlow, a philosophy professor at Northwestern University, about the ramifications of the gag order on journalists and privacy activists.
