Oksana is joined by the founder of the Free Software Foundation, Richard Stallman, to discuss these issues.
Skinny Puppy Suing Government for Guantanamo Torture Royalties
Published on Feb 5, 2014
Skinny Puppy’s music is being used at Guantanamo Bay to torture prisoners, something the band recently learned through a “reliable grapevine.” Now, the industrial band has demanded that the U.S. government pay for the songs that they have been using on detainees at the Cuban prison camp. Mark Sovel and Lissette Padilla discuss Skinny Puppy’s reaction to the U.S. government’s actions and the way that these actions have inspired Skinny Puppy’s recent music, (plus James Hetfield of Metallica’s reaction to being used as a weapon of the military) in this clip from the Lip News.
