Netflix + Verizon, Video Quality Blame Game

Netflix has blamed Verizon for video quality issues in response to a cease and desist letter issued by Verizon, which in turn was a response to Netflix displaying an error message on certain videos, which claimed Verizon was at fault for playback quality issues. Why a Computer Didn’t Really Pass the Turing Test

Chatbot Eugene Goostman was reported to have passed the Turing Test by various media outlets, something that has turned out to be contested according to various experts who have weighed in on the results. These experts have explained that the program actually tricked experimenters into believing it was a 13-year-old boy due to a number of loopholes within the test, which examines a machines ability to think like a human. We look at the flawed Turing Test along with the current state of artificial intelligence research, in this Lip News clip with Lissette Padilla and Mark Sovel.
