Life fluctuates
Like salt water in the wound,
Life burns,
Sometimes hurting.
As a breeze that moves my soul,
My boat moves forward,
The living become,
On an overdue trip.
Like the waves that move us,
Situations make way.
As a trip without a compass,
My destiny sails slowly.
As a night that hides,
In black the misfortune,
Of lost navigators,
In sea,
And madness.
A Poem by Alejandro Urtubia (The Painting is by his friend, and mine, Artist Doryssan Artist)
WE the SEA
sondering, swaying, splashing spraying
by the shore straying, playing,
laying staying, n’er obeying
sweeping along the Ebb n Flow
to touch all the World ya know
stay with me, play with me
feel the wind blow
bray with me, pray with me
tell the World so
Peace by piece, grains by the grams
oh yea we know, we understand
a drop in the Sea, tis more than me
n’er delaying, as the sun shines We’ll be haying
politely disobeying, the World not betraying
we’re the sea you n me our teeth as the reefs
staring, baring, boldly declaring
dashing , daring, n’er more ensnaring
we are the salt, we will not halt
drip drop our Dreams always sought
none more it seems to tell us naught
sway with me, play with me
we make the Ebb Flow
staying, saying
We know

Social norms determine much of how we behave. Everywhere we go, we are under pressure from society to act and behave a certain way and punished for not conforming to these norms.
We can define conformity as altering our behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes in order to match those of the people around you. It follows that social nonconformity is the refusal to comply with society’s standard for normal attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs.

We travel because we need to, because distance and difference are the secret tonic to creativity. When we get home, home is still the same, but something in our minds has changed, and that changes everything,

As Man is haunted by the vastness of Eternity, we ask ourselves; will our actions echo across the centuries? Will strangers hear our names long after we’re gone, wonder who we were, how bravely we fought and how fiercely we loved?

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: ’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th’oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely,
The pangs of dispriz’d love, the law’s delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th’unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere’d country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o’er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.
